DNS Settings
-
To access network settings: click [System Settings -> Network Settings]
-
Select the General tab: In the opened window, make sure the "General" tab is selected (it is selected by default)

- Configure the DNS address:
- Manually configure DNS
Check the **Manual Configuration **checkbox, and enter the corresponding DNS addresses in the **Preferred **and **Alternate ** fields. Both IPv4 and IPv6 formats are supported, and you can enter up to two addresses, which will serve as the preferred DNS and alternate DNS respectively.
- Restore Default DNS
Uncheck the "Manual Configuration" checkbox, and the system will automatically use the default DNS addresses (8.8.8.8 and 223.5.5.5).
- Application Settings: Click the "Apply" button to save the configuration, and the DNS address will take effect immediately.
Precautions
-
Typically, the system only uses the primary DNS, and the device will only switch to the secondary DNS server to send requests when the primary DNS server fails to respond (e. g., downtime, excessively high network latency, or unresponsiveness).
-
Once the DNS address is configured, it will take effect globally and affect all network connections.
-
A maximum of two DNS addresses (primary DNS and secondary DNS) are allowed to be configured.
-
Both IPv4 and IPv6 address formats are supported. Please ensure the format is correct when filling in.
-
The default DNS addresses of the system are 8.8.8.8 and 223.5.5.5
